Biochemical Assays

Last updated: Mon, Jan 13, 2025

Various pain conditions affect the presence or the concentration of certain biochemicals such as inflammatory chemicals or neurotransmiiters. Measurement of these chemicals, however, is normally done in scientific research but not in medical treatment of pain conditinos. (E.g., levels of chemicals in brain fluid, body cortisol levels, etc., see FMS writeup, Causes of Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain).
